Tropical Fruit Packed Green Smoothie

Tropical Fruit Packed Green Smoothie

I always feel better when I eat (and drink) better.  I love starting my day with a delicious smoothie.  It’s great when it keeps you full all morning as well.  This one is really easy.

Tropical Fruit Packed Green Smoothie

I always start with my greens first.  It helps when blending the smoothie.  I uses a handful (approx 1 cup) of spinach and blend it with 1 cup of water until I have a green liquid. I add 1 tbsp of flax seed and 1/2 a scoop of protein powder. I love the Garden of Life Raw Organic Protein. It’s gluten free and powder and helps with staying full.

Then I add my fruit one at a time.  I used 1/2 cup of pineapple chunks, 1 cup of peaches, and 1 banana.  You can also add stevia if the spinach taste is too strong.  You will get used to it.  I don’t use any stevia now.  Then you just enjoy!! It’s awesome.

What a great recipe! I am a smoothie NUT and love Garden of Life. Plus, pineapple gives smoothies such a clean, sweet flavor! Definitely a great recipe for the holidays too, thanks for sharing!

This looks amazing! If I don’t like spinach at ALL – can I cover up the taste totally, but still get the nutritional benefits from it? I love the recipe – too easy and quick to get your daily dose in the morning!

Honestly, I can not taste the spinach (I am a fan of spinach thought). I say try it as is first then add a packet or two of stevia. It’s hard to distinguish just the spinach with the fruit medley 🙂
