Easy Rainbow Cake #CakeMyDay

xx20150304_072842

One of my favorite things to do is bake. I really enjoy coming up with creative desserts to share with family and friends. I spend a lot of time on Pinterest.  I always seem to find amazing creations  and they’re not so easy to make. They either don’t give enough directions or they’re not clear in their directions.  It can be frustrating.

x20150304_073152

I am so excited about this Rainbow Cake I made this week. Not only was it beautiful, but it was so much easier than I ever imagined.  It was delicious too!! I brought it to a church meeting and there was nothing left.

Cake-My-Day

I was inspired to make this Rainbow cake based on the recipe in the “Cake my Day” book!  They have the most amazing cake designs and they give easy step by step instructions.  I am so amazed and can’t wait to try every single design!

x20150304_073313

I also love that they use fun decorations like those from Sweetworks. I used the sixlets to make the rainbow!  The “Cake my Day” Book is from the same people who wrote Hello Cupcake.  You have to check out their creations!

x20150304_072842

You can pre order the book here.  While you’re here though, why not enter to win a Sweetworks prize pack! You can use it to decorate your amazing creations from the book! To sweeten this giveaway you have 25 chances to win! That’s right, there are 25 of us giving away a $50 Sweetworks prize pack.  While you’re entering the other giveaways make sure to check out the other amazing creations from the Cake my Day book!

You could do these on a store bought cake, but I made this one. Granted it was a box mix, but I had to color and “tie dye” the cake.
