Healthy Apple Pie Bake
I’ve been more than thrilled with my success on Plan Z. Not only am I looking better but I’m feeling better too. I have more energy and let’s face it – fitting into jeans I have not been able to fit in for years definitely puts me in a fantastic mood. My friends have been telling me I look great and I know what the scale says but I see myself every day and it didn’t really hit me until I saw two pictures side by side.
In just under a month I’ve also lost one of my chins! It’s a great feeling! I have to admit though that even though eating clean feels good and tastes good the holidays bring a lot of temptation for me. I love the pumpkin, apple, and cinnamon smells. So, instead of giving in to the sweet smells I made a healthier version. It’s a win win – I get to enjoy the fall tastes and I don’t have to have the guilt over eating something loaded with sugar and calories.
It’s super simple to make too!
I started with one apple and sprinkled it with apple pie spice, PureVia, and a little vanilla. I then placed it in a preheated oven at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. I told you it was easy 🙂
It’s really easy to make changes too. You could add cinnamon, nutmeg, or pumpkin pie spice in place of the apple pie spice. You could also add in raspberries or strawberries. I keep the fruit at about 1 cup per person. You can also crumble a piece of melba toast on top to make a crust.
