Ghost Bars Recipe
I can hardly believe that fall is here again so fast! I wanted to come up with a sweet snack (sweet tasting and pretty sweet idea both) for Halloween!
I have to tell you that I was pretty excited to find Count Chocula®, Boo Berry® and Franken Berry® when I was at Target. I was also able to find some ghost peeps there so it got me thinking.
How adorable are these? They’re so fun to look at and super delicious! They’re also beyond easy!
In addition to the cereal and peeps I picked up some marshmallows and butter.
I combined 4 tbsp of butter and 4 cups of marshmallows in a pot and melted them until they were smooth over medium heat. As soon as my mixture was melted I removed it from the heat and mixed in 5 cups of the cereal until well coated.
Then I spread my mixture in a greased pan. You could mix your flavors or make 3 different batches which is what I did. Once they’ve cooled they’re ready to enjoy! I told you it was easy 😉
These cereals are even more fun this year thanks to Target’s exclusive packaging. On the back of each box is 1 (out of 3) part of a castle that you cut out and assemble all together!
Once the bars were cooled I got my ghost peeps and my husbands blow torch. I just heated the bottom of the ghosts until it looked “wet” – it literally takes a second or two. Once melted you pop it on your bars and serve! They’re so much fun! You can find other recipes and snacks here.
What snack and sweet treat ideas do you have for the season? If you try these, I’d love to hear what you think!
