DIY Faux Wood Canvas Print
There’s a lot of excitement going on this month with college basketball games going on and my Twitter and Facebook feeds are filled with my friends showing their team spirit. I thought I’d get into the celebration too. For me that’s art so I headed to Walmart for my supplies.
My supplies included: white stretch canvas 12×12, acrylic paints, paint brushes, and sponges
While I was there I also grabbed some Nexium 24HR, the new #1 selling frequent heartburn brand* You should see the food we’ve been eating at our game parties! I want to make sure that I’m prepared. Ask a doctor before use if you have a history of stomach problems, such as heartburn.
I also grabbed some Advil. Nothing’s stronger, longer lasting or better on your tough aches and pains than Advil** I like having it on hand for any aches or pains that pop up so I’m ready for anything.
Once I got home I gathered my supplies and set my canvas down on paper so I didn’t ruin my counter.
I went with 3 different shades of brown. Taking the sponge, brush the lightest color onto the canvas first. You want to make sure the canvas dries completely between each coat. The second coat will be your darker color and the third coat will be the darkest color.
Here’s a video to show you how:
I have a good friend that I made this one for. I’ve got it and my Advil ready for her house and our next game time celebration!
How to you celebrate?
