5 Reasons Everyone Deserves a Spa Day
I turned 39 just a few weeks ago (shhhh, don’t tell). It’s kind of weird it’s my last year in my 30’s. This year for my birthday I took a full spa day. I booked it through Cloud 9 Living which made things super simple for me. They even took care of gratuity! I have had massages, pedicures, and manicures, but I have never had a full spa day. It was amazing!!
When I arrived at the Ivy Spa I changed into my robe and sat in the relaxation room. I can’t remember the last time I just sat and did nothing. I brought my book and just relaxed. So here’s my 5 reasons everyone deserves their very own Spa Day.
1. The Massage
Oh. My. Goodness. I had a deep tissue massage that worked out all of the tight muscles in my shoulders and neck. It was the perfect way to start my day.
2. The Facial
I’ve never had before. This was my very first time. It was a little weird having some one touching my face for an hour, but my face was actually glowing afterwards. It’s been looking better since the facial too.
3. The Pedicure
I love pedicures. The best part of this one was the massage. She used this fantastic sugar scrub and my feet were totally relaxed. They also looked super pretty 🙂
4. The Manicure
The same girl took great care in doing my manicure. She also massaged my hands and painted them in the same color as my toes.
5. Total Relaxation
Lunch was included in the day between my facial and pedicure. I spent about 6 hours doing nothing but relaxing and getting pampered. I picked up dinner on the way home so I didn’t have to cook. I woke up the next day and told my husband I couldn’t remember the last time I had felt so refreshed.
We all live such hectic lives and we all seem to be so busy that it’s nice to stop sometimes.

I’ve never been to a spa, I’ve never had a mani/pedi either. I love doing my own nails and toes but sounds like I need to get myself to a spa asap.
I can think of at least 10 reasons why I deserve a spa day!!! lol

I have always heard that we should stop and smell the roses. I think a spa is the perfect way.

I love having a spa day. I usually have a day during our vacation that I spend at the spa, and my husband plays golf.
I completely agree. I love hot rock massages, but I do not treat myself to them often enough (in my opinion, LOL).
That sounds wonderful. I’m not sure about getting a massage because I guess I’m just a weenie but too much pressure hurts more than it feels good. I also have nerve damage from my epidural almost two years ago so anywhere near that spot is off limits. However, a facial and pedicure sounds amazing, I have never had either of those! My husband wants us to both go to a spa sometime, he really wants the deep tissue massage and I could totally go for a facial.
I could totally go for deep massage to work out some of the kinks in my muscles. I have honestly never been to a spa.
I wish I could afford to go to a spa…of any kind. I would love to get a foot rub/pedicure, facial, or especially a massage.

I am not a spa person at all but Micah got me a gift certificate for a massage at a local place for my birthday so that is going to happen one of these days.
