Spooktacular Shakes
I absolutely love holidays. When one holiday is over I get so excited for the next one. I can hardly believe that Halloween is only a week away. I was cleaning out some mason jars and started thinking. I host a group of middle school girls each week and I had a great idea for for a spooktacular set up for the girls. It involves mason jars, Fanta, Dasani water bottles, and candy. Intrigued?
I headed to Walmart and got some of the ingredients like Fanta Orange Soda and Dasani Water. They have these super cute smaller 12 oz bottles which were even more perfect for my idea. I also picked up some vanilla ice cream, googly eyes, fresh fruit, and streamers.
I started with my chalkboard marker and drew faces on the mason jars. This is a really fun thing to let the kids do on their own jars.
Next you just mix the vanilla ice cream and Fanta Soda. I put a few scoops of the ice cream and blended it with the soda.
Next pour your orange float into the mason jars. How adorable are these? They’re so much fun!
Now onto the next project!
Dasani water bottles are made from plant resin and are a special shape that won’t fall over in the fridge. They’re good for the environment and sturdy, unlike most ‘green’, plastic water bottles. Dasani’s smaller 12 ounce bottles are perfect for Trick or Treating hydration. They’re also perfect for Mummy Candy Holders!
First I drank the water out of a few of the bottles and then washed out the bottles.
After that I cut off the top of the bottles and peeled off the labels.
I then took the white streamers and wrapped them around the bottle. I just secured my ends with tape.
I glued the googly eyes to the black streamer and cut it in an oval type shape.
Then I attached it to my mummy. It’s just that easy!
You can fill these mummies with candy or even fresh fruit! They’re so much fun!
There will be an in-store demo at select Walmart locations October 24-26th featuring Fanta, as well as Wheat Thins and Halloween Oreos.
*Twitter Party Alert* The #SpookySnacks Twitter Party will be 10/24 from 2-3 ET, 1-2 CT.
