Movie Review – Red One

It’s the beginning of November and I’m watching my first Christmas movie of the season.
When a villain kidnaps Santa Claus from the North Pole, an E.L.F. (Extremely Large and Formidable) operative joins forces with the world’s most accomplished tracker to find him and save Christmas.

I am a fan of most of the Rock’s Film and this one had Captain America (Chris Evans) too so I was definitely excited to watch it. This movie has a great cast – Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson, Chris Evans, JK Simmons, Lucy Liu, Bonnie Hunt, and more.

This movie has the action and adventure I would expect from Evans and Johnson. It was also hands down the best explanation of Santa I’ve ever heard.

It’s much more logical that Santa is fit and agile to deliver millions of presents in one night. I loved the creativity of the story too. I’m pretty good at figuring out the endings of movies, especially feel good ones and I didn’t get it completely right. It was a satisfying ending though. I would definitely recommend checking it out to start your Christmas Season!
Red One is in theaters November 15th!
