Honey BBQ Wings

Honey BBQ Wings #recipe

If you’ve followed my blog for anytime at all you know I’m a little obsessed with wings. They really are my favorite food. I normally go for hot sauce and blue cheese or some other flavor with a kick.  Today though I was craving something different. I wanted honey bbq.

Sure, I could dump bbq sauce on them, but why not make it from scratch? It’s always better from scratch.  I mixed ketchup, vinegar, molasses, agave, paprika, chili powder, and more (all the ingredients and measurements are below).

I mixed all the ingredients together and brought it to a simmer for about 10 to 15 minutes.  While my sauce was simmering I dropped my wings in the fryer.  Yes, the fryer. I realize baked wings are better for you and if you want to bake yours you can then add the sauce 😉

Once they came out of the fryer I padded them dry.

I added 1/3 cup of the sauce and shook it up in a container until it was fully coated.

I made 10 wings and I had enough sauce left over to coat at least 20 more wings.

They were so good!

You can serve them with ranch or blue cheese, but I thought they were amazing on their own. The Honey BBQ is so flavorful it left me wanting more.
