Grid Iron Grill – My Favorite Lunch Stop in Webster City
This past Saturday I spent the day in Webster City, IA with my fellow #NorthIowaBloggers. We had a full day of fun (watch for more posts coming) and I was starving! We stopped for lunch at the Grid Iron Grill and Sports Lounge.
The owner, Burk Risetter, came out and chatted with us and welcomed us. The atmosphere was relaxed and great for friends and the whole family. My favorite part of the whole visit was definitely the food!
We started with fried pickle chips, onion rings and loaded potato skins. All were so delicious!
While enjoying the appetizers we looked through the menu and decided what to order for lunch. I had a very hard time making a selection. There were so many options that looked delicious.
I finally decided on the Bourbon Burger with Sweet Potato Fries! I wish I had a picture but it looked so good I was in a food trance and started eating without even thinking about a picture. The wings above are in bourbon sauce as well.
The Bourbon Burger is a half pound charbroiled patty tossed in their delicious bourbon sauce then topped with sautéed red onion and melted Swiss cheese. I ordered mine with out the bun. I think I could dunk anything in the bourbon sauce. It was so good! I thought about licking the plate. We were in a public place so I did not, but it was very tempting. The Sweet Potato Fries served on the side were amazing! I consider myself an expert on sweet potato fries because I order them whenever and wherever I can find them. These are among the best! They are thick cut and were not at all soggy. They came with this delicious marshmallow sauce. It was good, but very sweet. I had also ordered my favorite dipping sauce for them – honey mustard. They were excellent and I ate every single one.
All of the #NorthIowaBloggers loved their meals and we were all so stuffed. We didn’t order any dessert (we didn’t have room in our bellies) but I’ve heard on good authority that the Chocolate Lava Cake is to die for.
Next time you’re anywhere Webster City, IA I highly recommend making a stop into the Grid Iron Grill and Sports Lounge!
