I started reading it one day and stayed up to finish reading it later the same evening because I could not put it down. I loved the fresh take on the Vampire genre. Put aside everything you have “learned” from other books about vampires. The main character, Dawn, is a young vampire who has trained her whole life in defense and sets out on her very first mission in Angel Creek. She meets up with a group of ”misfit” vampires she has to train. I love the way the author built each of the characters. They were all unique in their own way and she had such a great way of describing them. You really get to know them, love them, and root for them. There are fights, love triangles (team Ethan or Team Sebastian!), drama, twists, conspiracies, werewolves (again a different take!) and more as Dawn “revamps” her misfit group and fights her own family drama and past. I am so excited for the second book! It’s a must read!
