What is Celiac Disease?
Celiac disease is an autoimmune disorder triggered by the consumption of gluten, a protein found in wheat, barley and rye. Three million Americans have celiac disease, yet 95% of those who have it are undiagnosed.
When I first found out I had Celiac and had to be Gluten Free I had a mixture of emotions. Â I was bummed, I liked bread, pasta, pizza, etc. Â I was also overwhelmed and some of my first gluten free exposures were less than tasty. Â I have been fortunate enough to work with some amazing companies! I have been able to find some fantastic gluten free products that taste amazing! Â I have also teamed up with my childhood friend and we’ve started writing our own Gluten Free Recipes.
May is National Celiac Awareness Month and I have a vision! My site has grown so much in the past year and I have so many readers that have Celiac or some sort of Gluten Intolerance. Â I would like to dedicate the month to GF giveaways and contests!
I would like to have multiple giveaways during the month of  May. I would love to have GF companies (food, seasonings, make up, facial products, and more) to donate a prize for one or all of the giveaways.  What will you get in return?  I will put you on the Rafflecopter for the giveaways. I am Facebook and FTC compliant.  I believe this will be huge! I know my readers are always looking for great GF food.
I will also be running a contest for my readers. Â I will have them submit their own GF recipes and we’ll choose a winner. Â We will cook the meal and post the video and recipe on our website. Â If you’d like to sponsor a prize to the winning recipe (you would have input on the vote if you did) I would be thrilled.
I have a strong social media network and I’m confident that we can make this a success!
